Designed with guest comfort, freedom and privacy in mind, Armadillo Studios and its surroundings offer a tranquil retreat from the traffic and bussle of Knysna town centre.

Relax by our inviting pool, surrounding sundecks and garden, enjoy a braai beneath our thatched lapa or simply sip a cool drink on your patio, listen to one of our 'chillout' CDs and watch the antics of the visiting birdlife.

The layout of our studios allows guests to be as sociable or private as they wish. You can also choose whether to take a light breakfast in your room from the complimentary provisions in your fridge, or join us on the upper deck or dining room for an excellent English cooked breakfast.

Your hosts, Marion & David, will be delighted to provide information and recommendations about things to do and see whilst in the area. Many of the finest golf courses in the country are within easy reach and tee-times can be arranged if required.

Studio 1
Bright, airy and tastefully furnished, Studio 1 features a queen bed (cotton percale linen), lounge area with sofa, DSTV & hi fi, plus separate mini-kitchen equipped with with microwave, kettle and toaster. The fridge is stocked with provisions, refreshments and 'honesty bar' beverages.

You'll find a spacious shower room tiled in mosaics and natural slate, pool towels and toiletries, together with a separate WC. A private patio looking out onto the lawn, lapa and pool completes the scene.

Additional features include: digital safe, hairdryer, ceiling fan, heated towel rail, underfloor heating, bathroom heaters, china, cutlery, glassware, private entrance and shaded parking.

Studio 2
This is an exceptionally spacious suite featuring twin beds (cotton percale linen), ample wardrobe space with digital safe and a lounge area with comfortable sofa, DSTV and hi fi. The well equipped mini-kitchen has a microwave, toaster and kettle, plus a fridge stocked with complimentary refreshments, provisions and 'honesty bar' beverages.

The large ensuite shower room/WC, tiled in natural slate and mosaics, contains a range of toiletries and pool towels.

The patio looks out onto the lawn and lapa and is just a few steps from our sparkling pool.

Additional features include: hairdryer, ceiling fan, heated towel rail, underfloor heating, bathroom heater, china, cutlery, glassware, private entrance and shaded parking.

Studio 3
Ideal for extended stays, small families or friends travelling together, Studio 3 offers 76m2 of stylish, open plan self-catering accommodation.

Totally self-contained and with a patio overlooking the rock garden and pool, the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen/diner with microwave oven/grill, electric hob and extractor, toaster and kettle. The fridge/freezer contains complimentary provisions and 'honesty bar' drinks.

The studio comprises a master bedroom with queen bed and stylish ensuite shower room/WC, plus a smaller twin room with separate shower/WC. Bedrooms feature built-in wardrobes, dressing table and cotton percale linen.

The lounge area contains a rattan sofa and armchairs, coffee table, DSTV and hi-fi.

Additonal features include: bathroom heaters, hairdryer, underfloor heating in lounge, digital safe, bathroom toiletries and pool towels. The shady guest car park is a few steps away.

Directions from George: Take the N2 through Knynsa town centre, passing Provincial Hospital on left. When road becomes a dual carriageway, get into right hand lane, continue for approx 1k and turn right into George Rex Drive just after Caltex garage & Kwik Spar on right (signposted The Heads, Pezula, Leisure Isle.) Continue along George Rex. After the traffic lights, take 2nd turn on left (Howard Street, by Knysna Golf Course). Continue for 1k and take 1st turn on left (signposted Hunters Village) and turn IMMEDIATELY right into Lindsay Street. Armadillo Studios is exactly 500m up the lane on the right.

Directions from PE/Plettenberg Bay: When you come down the hill approaching Knysna on the N2, turn left into George Rex Drive (signposted The Heads, Pezula, Leisure Isle.)
