Four Oaks Guesthouse & Templeton's Restaurant

Set in the picturesque village of Montagu on the scenic Route 62, Four Oaks Guest House and Templeton's restaurant is housed  in a National Monument dating back to 1855. The thatch roofed building offers 4 luxury en-suite rooms with air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD players and private entrances, all leading onto a courtyard which is shaded by two 100-year old pear trees.

Eat Out Top 20 Restaurant in SA

Templeton’s restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday (view sample menu). Sunday lunches are served  during the summer season. Lunch is served in a beautiful shaded courtyard under 100 year old Saffron Pear Trees.  It is a great place to enjoy a relaxed al fresco dining experience. Dinner is served in the newly renovated templeton’s  restaurant.

The addition of the cosy wine bar and cellar is the perfect place to meet for pre dinner or after dinner drinks. The  templeton’s wine list showcases the very best of SA wines and promises to indulge the most erdent wine lover. We also cater for private functions, corporate getaways, team buildings and food & wine evenings.

Four Oaks Wine Club

The idea of opening the Four Oaks Wine club was born out of the fantastic response that we have received on site at our Four Oaks wine shop in Montagu.  Many of our customers like to buy cases of their favourite wine as well as taste some of the many fantastic wines of South  Africa but find it simply too daring to buy a case of a wine that they have not tasted. As a result of this the FOWC was  created so that we can carefully select wines that meet both quality and value for money no matter what tasting experience or  budget is.
