Parkes Manor in Knysna  is a four-star rated guesthouse set in tranquil surroundings overlooking the Knysna lagoon and well-known "Heads". Peacefully situated on a leafy estate of large trees and park like gardens, the discerning traveller will discover this once magnificent home, now restored to its full glory as Parkes Manor, a stylish country house and National Monument. We are a preferred member of the Portfolio Collection of Places, SATSA, FEDHASA and Southern Spoor.

Eight spacious bedrooms are tastefully and stylishly decorated with a warm ambience echoing country hospitality. Each room is individually decorated with a unique character and colour scheme. All en-suite bathrooms contain separate bath and shower facilities.

Each room extends onto a wraparound veranda where guests can relax and enjoy views across the garden and pool area and observe the ever-changing colours of the lagoon.

Rooms either have a view across the garden or lagoon.  Attention to detail is not surpassed and the scent of fresh lowers welcomes one.

There are candles in the bathroom for the romantic at heart, which lets one slip away into a relaxing and calming state of mind.

Parkes Manor offers an elegant lounge where guests can relax, read or simply enjoy the view across the garden and lagoon. The Polo Bar is the place to meet for pre-dinner drinks before a delightful dining experience at Glenshiel at Parkes Restaurant.

Breakfasts, light lunches, and teas are either served in our elegant dining room, on the terrace at the pool deck or in our garden. A swimming pool is set in the lush gardens so guests can sunbathe, swim, read or just relax.

We do offer a shuttle service from George or Plettenberg Bay Airport at an extra charge. We will recommend preferred tours and attractions to you and will gladly assist you in the booking thereof.
