Bekaru Lodge is situated just outside the famous coastal town of Plettenberg Bay in the malaria-free Garden Route between Plett and Knysna, South Africa.

This exclusive Lodge offers 6 en-suite double bedrooms. A maximum of 14 guests (12 guests and 2 extra children) can be comfortably accommodated.

Breakfast is served in the dining room or alfresco on the patio. Our 16m swimming pool is ideal for lounging around and for swimming laps. A braai area invites to sit and enjoy the evenings under the starry sky.

Bekaru Lodge is an ideal base from which to explore unspoiled beaches, scenic nature reserves, hiking trails and world class golf courses. Other options for day excursions are; personal encounters with elephants and close encounters with eagles, whales and dolphins. Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and the Teniqwa Cheetah’s are other interactive and informative highlights of any visit.

For those who like fine dining, outstanding restaurants are nearby.

The ambiance of Bekaru Lodge is a combination of modern and antique styles using only natural materials.
It is regretted that no pets can be accommodated. The guesthouse is a non-smoking establishment.

Rooms

Each of the six luxury guestrooms are individually and stylishly furnished with particular attention to detail. All rooms (~40m², Light Room ~30m²) are in different tones of soft colours and have a spacious living area.
Each room has a private balcony or patio.

Forest Room
Feel as if you are in a forest. This room has an extra long king size bed. Spectacular sunset view.

Savannah Room
Sunset in the African savannah. Colourful African ambiance. Spectacular sunset view.

Humans Room
Masks, statues, watercolours and pictures of humans give this room a special theme.

Desert Room
Soft sandy colours will charm your eyes and heart. The curtains and the carpet are reminiscent of a Bedouin tent.

Sea Room (1st Floor)
Feel the sea breeze. This room reflects the amazing sea and the shore. Feel as if you are on holidays at the beach. The bath area has twin-basins, a shower and large modern bath. Spacious private balcony overlooking the pool, garden, forest and meadows. Connecting door to the Light Room. This is often used as honeymoon suite.

Light Room (1st Floor)
Light-flooded. Sunbeams illuminate this north-facing room. Connecting door to the Sea Room.

Lounge
The large lounge invites to linger in front of the open fireplace with views overlooking the garden and the pool.

At the writing desk is a public PC with telephone via Skype Internet.

Cancellation Policy: *

Up to 14 days prior to check-in date: R500 + accumulated bank charges.
Less than 14 days prior to check-in date or no-show: 100% of deposit paid.

Plettenberg Bay offers unspoiled beaches for walking or swimming in the sea.  5 well-known golf-courses are nearby. There is also polo, horse riding, deep sea fishing, sailing, mountain biking, canoeing, wine tasting at Bramons in the Crags, visiting ostrich and crocodile farms and much more.
