The discerning traveller will find self-catering accommodation at Rose Cottages, set amongst the vines and mountains of Franschhoek, yet we are only 2.5 km from the centre of the village. Each cottage is tastefully furnished in the French-Provencal style with an open-plan lounge/dining area and well equipped kitchen. Each has a fireplace for those old winter evenings and fans for the hot summer days. After a day of sightseeing or wine-tasting, you return to the tranquil setting of Rose Cottages where you can relax and enjoy the view, take a dip in your private pool, have a barbeque, or enjoy the gourmet delights of the restaurants for which Franschhoek is famous.

Each lovingly restored cottage is fully equiped, containing lounge, dining room, kitchen and bedroom, with extra's like DSTV, braai facilities & rim-flow pool set at the edge of a large patio area for outside living. All cottages are serviced daily.

The Cottage

The Cottage (100 sq.m.), is attached to the manor house and offers a comfortable lounge downstairs with eating area and kitchen. There is a T.V. and large fireplace for those chilly winter evenings. The en-suite bedroom has undercarpet heating and queen bed and the bathroom has both a tub and a shower.

The double volume lounge has French doors leading onto the verandah with loungers and small eating area where you can enjoy your breakfast whilst listening to the birds. On those lazy summer days enjoy the barbeque area and the rim flow pool off the verandah from where you can watch the family of guinea fowl that visit us from time to time, or see the squirrels scampering across the lawn. In winter watch the clouds billow and swirl around the mountains whilst your fire envelops you in its warmth .

The Stable

The converted stables (99 sq.m) makes for a uniquely picturesque stay. This secluded cottage tucked amongst our vines, has an open plan lounge, dining area and well equipped kitchen. There is a large fireplace and a T.V. to watch your favourite sport whilst sipping locally produced wine.

There are two en-suite bedrooms, one with queen bed and the other with twin beds. Both bedrooms lead off the central area have bathrooms with tub and shower.

All this opens onto the patio with private plunge pool, timber deck with loungers and barbeque area for those summer days when you want to relax at home and enjoy the tranquility of the farm. There are magnificent views of the surrounding mountains which are particularly beautiful as they catch the last rays of the sun.

The Vineyard

This private double-storey cottage (110 sq.m) is set between our vines and the neighbouring paddocks, with the mountains providing spectacular views which can be enjoyed from all the windows. Downstairs is a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, queen bed plus one single bed. Upstairs on the mezzanine floor are twin beds with bathroom. Both bedrooms have undercarpet heating for our cold winter nights.

Also downstairs is a double volume lounge with comfortable seating, T.V. and fireplace, dining area and well equipped kitchen. There is a verandah on three sides from which to enjoy the scenery. Sit here and watch the neighbouring horses frolic, enjoy the private pool with recliners on our hot summer days and cook alfresco meals on the free standing barbeque. Or in winter add some logs to the fire, put your feet up and delight in the comfort of the Vineyard.
