Namibia
Namibia lies to the north of South Africa and is the world’s 34th largest country but one of the most sparsely populated.
The country is divided into 5 different types of geographic areas, each with its own characteristic vegetation and animal-life. Stretching from the Namib Desert with its famous dunes, through the central plateau where most of the economic activities and larger towns are located to the Kalahari Desert stretching over the border into South Africa and the Coastal Deserts of the Diamond and Skeleton Coasts, Namibia is known as for its eco-tourism and extreme sports.
