Just south of Cape Town, and on the west coast of the Cape Peninsula, is a beautiful valley that is home to the fishing village of Hout Bay. About 3 miles above the village & the sea is Victoria Lodge. This luxurious lodge nestles in an exclusive & quiet corner at the foot of a magnificent 700 meter buttress which is part of the Table Mountain range.
The Lodge has been purpose built to offer 7 suites of private luxury accommodation for up to 14 guests. All the suites are spacious with private bathrooms; twin or king size sumptuous beds adorned with crisp white cotton. Five of the suites have kitchen facilities for self catering; the two remaining suites are in the large main house with access to the central kitchen. Most have a private balcony offering you privacy and relaxation while you enjoy the spectacular and uninterrupted views of the Bay and its surrounding mountains.
Breakfast is served in the main house where guests can marvel at the views from the large veranda; if you are fortunate you may see a pair of Black Eagles which often soar down from their nesting on the steep cliffs of Hout Bay Corner. Breakfast can also be delivered to your suite for your private enjoyment.
An optional buffet lunch is served daily offering a variety of delicious local & traditional fare, while a selection of excellent South African wines and other drinks are always available from the bar service.
All suites include telephone; satellite TV, DVD & access to the Internet via wireless connection. For guests who will be participating in the Digital Photography Workshop, a purpose built studio fully equipped with modern PC/MAC desk top computers with Photoshop CS2 is available.

For the more energetic there is a myriad of walks and climbs to be explored which lead to every part of Table Mountain. Many of these walks dive down through spectacular forested gorges which divide the massive crags and buttresses along the edge of the plateau – and if you are really adventurous a 14 kilometer hike will take you the Cable Car station on the front of Table Mountain where you can arrange to be picked up.
Guests who visit with a partner and do not attend the Digital Photographic workshop or visitors simply enjoying Victoria Lodge as an independent holiday resort are equally important - our staff is trained to deliver a first class experience for everyone.
